Description
A pair of tiny paintings, on 15cm / 6 inches square canvas. In spring, in Cornwall’s Tamar Valley, which was once famous for its market gardens, you often find often encounter among the shadows of the deep woods, forgotten daffodils or perhaps the stunning Narcissus poeticus, catching the light in delicate petals as in this painting.
The Blackthorn is a delicate and cheering blossom of the early spring. I love seeing the seemingly-frail blossoms among the dark stems of the trees that have not yet come into leaf.
These two canvases are both painted all around the edges, so no frame is needed – it’s all ready to hang, or just prop up on the mantle-piece. Price includes postage.
